1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your browser or device. It lets the site remember things between page loads, such as your cookie choice or your session. We also use local storage and pixel tags, which work in similar ways and are covered by this policy.
2. The categories we use
- Strictly necessary: required for the site and its forms to work, including remembering the cookie choice you make in our banner.
- Analytics: help us measure page views, traffic sources, and how visitors move through guides, the blade finder, and the calculators, so we can improve them.
- Advertising and marketing: set when you arrive from one of our search or social ads or when we show you a related ad later, and used to measure whether a campaign produced a quote or demo request.
- Functional and preference: remember details such as whether you have dismissed a message or which product you were last looking at.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by the services we use rather than by us. These include Google Analytics and Google Ads for measurement and advertising, and our ecommerce platform when you continue to checkout on our store. Those providers set cookies under their own domains and their own privacy policies, and we do not control them directly.
4. Your choices
The cookie banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and both choices are equally available. If you decline, we do not set analytics or advertising cookies for your visit. To change your choice later, clear the site data for this site in your browser and the banner will appear again.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies entirely. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off without breaking parts of the site, such as form submissions.
5. Opt-out preference signals
Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out signal, we treat it as a request not to share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. See your California privacy rights for details on opting out and on requesting access to or deletion of your information.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add or change a category of cookie, we will update this page and the date above. The cookie banner will continue to ask before any non-essential cookie is set.
