This notice applies to California residents who visit our website, use our tools and calculators, request a quote or demo, register a product or warranty, or buy from our online store. It supplements the iQ Power Tools privacy policy and does not cover information about our own employees or job applicants.
2. Personal information we collect
In the past twelve months we have collected the following categories:
- Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, company name, and device or cookie identifiers.
- Commercial information: products you ask about, request a demo or quote for, register for warranty, or buy, along with dealer and purchase details.
- Internet or network activity: pages viewed, search terms used on our site, referring source, browser and device type, and interactions with our calculators and blade finder.
- Professional information: your trade role and business, when you tell us.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government identifiers, precise geolocation, or financial account numbers. Payments for online orders are handled by our store platform and payment processors; card details are not stored on our servers.
3. Where the information comes from
- Directly from you, when you submit a quote, demo, contact, warranty, or dealer form.
- Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies used for analytics and advertising.
- From our store platform, payment processors, and service providers that help us run the site and fulfil orders.
4. Why we use it
- To respond to quote, demo, and dealer inquiries and follow up on them.
- To register products and warranties and provide service and parts support.
- To process orders, payments, shipping, and returns.
- To understand how the site and our tools are used and to improve them.

- To meet legal, safety, and recordkeeping obligations.
5. How we share it
We share personal information with service providers that work on our behalf, including hosting, email, analytics, advertising, and payment providers, under contracts that limit their use of it. We may also disclose information when required by law or as part of a business transfer.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some sharing with advertising and analytics partners to show you relevant ads on other sites may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, and you can opt out as described below.
6. Your California rights
- Right to know and access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, and the sources, purposes, and recipients.
- Right to delete: request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions such as completed transactions and warranty records.
- Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: direct us not to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to limit.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
7. How to opt out of sharing
Use the cookie banner on this site to decline analytics and advertising cookies, or reopen it to change your choice at any time. We also honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control sent by your browser.
You can email or call us using the contact details below to opt out, and we will apply the choice to the browser or device you tell us about.
8. How to exercise your rights
Call 888.274.7744 or send us a message through our contact page. Tell us which right you want to exercise and the email address or phone number you used with us so we can find your records.
We will verify your identity by matching the details you provide against our records, and we will respond within 45 days, with an extension where the law allows one. You may use an authorized agent, in which case we will ask for written permission and may still contact you directly to confirm.
9. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and demo records for up to three years after our last contact, warranty and service records for the life of the warranty plus the period required for legal and safety purposes, and order records as long as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics data is kept in aggregate or for a limited retention period.
10. Minors
Our site is intended for trade professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect, sell, or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
11. Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle California personal information, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
